We are looking to add photographs to the picture gallery on the Waverley community website. If you have any digital photographs of the community or from Waverley events and would like to see them to the website please send them to waverleycommunity@gmail.com . Welcome to our village The Village of Waverley is located about 15 kilometers inland from Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia, Canada. Waverley has a rich history of gold mining, and was incorporated as a village in 1986. In 1996 Halifax/Dartmouth officially amalgamated with the surrounding areas, creating the Halifax Regional Municipality. Because of this, Waverley lost its incorporated status in 1996. Today, the Waverley area has a population of about 2000 and has a variety of businesses and attractions.
