The Crawford County Avalanche is the main source of local news in Crawford County, Michigan. The Avalanche, Crawford County's hometown newspaper, has been publishing since 1879. It is published weekly on Thursdays. The Avalanche serves the communities of Grayling, Frederic and Lovells, as well as the entire Crawford County area.
