I have been a photographer for about 10 years now and in that time I have done work for various Colorado newspapers and sports photography businesses. I have photographed weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries, and done maternity, engagement, baby, and family sessions. I graduated Cum Laude from Metropolitan State College of Denver with my BA in Journalism, emphasis in Photojournalism, with a minor in Digital Media. While at Metro, I received the Greg Lopez Memorial Scholarship from the Rocky Mountain News two years in a row. I have a passion for photography, especially photojournalism. I feel that when you take a photo you are capturing a moment in time and it should be as natural and unrehearsed as possible. I have learned that telling someone to smile and catching them smile in reaction to something are two totally different things. My background in photojournalism has given me a trained eye for capturing those unique moments. My portfolio will show you the diversity in my shooting and my unique ability to capture moments.
